BOUZAN CONTINUES WINNING STREAK AT ICONIC EUROCHALLENGE
Walter Bouzan has finished his incredible 2021 season with another victory, taking out the iconic EuroChallenge in Villajoyosa, Spain.
The 43 year-old crossed the line in a time of 1:30:40, some 90 seconds ahead of Pierre Vilella, who recorded his first overall podium result.
German Nordin Sparmann continued his impressive year, finishing a further 15 seconds back in third place.
It means that Bouzan has won all four of his last major events, to seal one of his best campaigns in recent years – the European Championships, Irish Coast Championships, Sardinia and now the Eurochallenge.
Great Britain’s Emily Corin (1:47:20) broke through for the biggest victory of her emerging career, crossing ahead of Spanish pair Begona Lazkano Guimerans (1:48:54) and Aurora Figueras Palomeras (1:51:00).
